Found In

Cheese, chicken pot pies, orange juice, condiments, spice mixtures, sauces, sweets, and emulsified processed meats (sausage). The oil of paprika is used in fruit, meat, ice cream, candy, baked goods, condiments, and meats. In poultry feed, it is used to make the egg yolk a darker yellow.

Possible Health Effects

Paprika extract is an antioxidant, however there is little research to show what the levels are or on the effect of paprika on human health. Paprika belongs to the nightshade (potato) family.
