Phosphoric Acid is used to increase the acidity and to add flavor to certain food and soft drinks. It is made from phosphate rock into food grade, medical grade and for use in general industry (as a rust remover/cleaner).
Some studies have recently been conducted studying the impact of phosphoric acid on bone density. This study shows decreased bone density in women that drink cola.
Soft drinks, jelly, frozen dairy products, bakery products, candy, cheese products, beer brewing, meat, dairy products, powdered foods, cured meat, breakfast cereals, dehydrated potatoes.
Possible Health Effects
May cause tooth decay, tooth erosion, or erode tooth enamel also may cause calcium loss in bones.
